England Cricket Board (ECB) CEO Richard Gould has expressed excitement about England’s return to Pakistan for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy in 2025. During a visit to the shrine of Sufi saint Shah Rukn-e-Alam in Multan, Gould, accompanied by PCB COO Salman Naseer, praised Pakistan's warm hospitality.

“We are looking forward to coming back to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. Thank you for taking such good care of us,” Gould said. He added that this is his second visit to the country in the past two years, and both the ECB officials and England's cricket team have felt well looked after.

Gould also highlighted the positive experience of the English players and fans, stating that they have enjoyed their time in Pakistan, especially visiting cultural sites like the famous shrine in Multan.

The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy will be held from February 19 to March 9, with a reserve day scheduled on March 10. Pakistan will compete in Group A alongside India, Bangladesh, and New Zealand, while Group B features England, South Africa, Australia, and Afghanistan.

Matches are set to take place across three major cities: Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. Lahore will host seven games, including the grand final on March 9, while Karachi will stage the tournament opener and one semi-final. Rawalpindi will host five matches, including the other semi-final.
