Pakistan's promising young leg-spinner, Abrar Ahmed, has been sidelined due to a fever, forcing him to miss the fourth day of the ongoing first Test match against England in Multan.

The illness has prevented the talented bowler from taking the field, leaving Pakistan's spin bowling department depleted.

Abrar Ahmed, who has been receiving regular medication and rest, is being monitored closely by the team's medical staff.

In the ongoing Multan Test, despite bowling 35 overs, the young spinner was unable to secure a wicket, conceding 174 runs.

With Abrar Ahmed out of the equation, captain Shan Masood has been forced to rely on other spin options.

Salman Ali Agha has been given the responsibility of leading Pakistan's spin bowling attack, while the team has also experimented with Saim Ayub and Saud Shakeel in an attempt to find a suitable replacement for Abrar Ahmed.

Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first in this Test match, posting an impressive 556-run total in their first innings, setting a formidable challenge for the visiting England side.

On the other hand, the Three Lions are displaying their aggressive batting approach, accumulating over 550 runs for the loss of just three wickets. Joe Root has impressively notched up his sixth double century, while Harry Brook has surpassed 150 runs, putting England in the lead and surpassing Pakistan's total.
