Former England captain Michael Vaughan took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share his thoughts on the pitch conditions in Multan during the first Test match between Pakistan and England.

Vaughan remarked, "Looks like a road in Multan .. Great toss to have won .. also nice to see @shani_official batting in what looks like Padel shoes .. #PAKvsENG."

His post reflects the batting-friendly nature of the pitch, which has provided ample opportunities for the batsmen. The match, being played at the Multan Cricket Stadium, is crucial for both teams as it is part of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25.

On the opening day, Pakistan recovered well after an early wicket, with captain Shan Masood and opener Abdullah Shafique forming a solid partnership. After winning the toss, Pakistan elected to bat first, and despite losing Saim Ayub early on, the team managed to reach 184-1, with Shan scoring a century.
