Pakistan’s unchanged squad reflects the confidence in the players who delivered in the first game
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that the team will remain unchanged for the second T20I match against Zimbabwe. The match is set to take place tomorrow (December 3) at Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo.
Captain Salman Ali Agha will once again lead the side after guiding Pakistan to a convincing 57-run victory in the first game of the three-match series. It is notable that Salman is leading the T20I team for this series, while Mohammad Rizwan captained the ODI squad in the recently concluded series, which Pakistan won 2-1.
In the first T20I, Pakistan’s bowlers shone brightly. Spinners Sufiyan Muqeem and Abrar Ahmed each claimed three wickets, dismantling Zimbabwe’s batting lineup. Chasing a target of 166, the hosts were bowled out for just 108 runs in 15.3 overs. Zimbabwe’s captain Sikandar Raza was the only standout batter, scoring 39 runs from 28 balls.
Earlier, Pakistan’s batters managed 165 runs in their innings, with Tayyab Tahir leading the charge. His unbeaten 39 runs off 25 balls earned him the Player of the Match award.
Pakistan’s unchanged squad reflects the confidence in the players who delivered in the first game. The team is looking to seal the series in the second match.
