Agha emphasized that Pakistan’s focus is not determined by the toss, but on playing quality cricket in all situations
Pakistan’s skipper, Salman Ali Agha, expressed his satisfaction with the team’s dominant performance after they clinched the T20I series against Zimbabwe. Reflecting on the team’s approach, Agha emphasized that Pakistan’s focus is not determined by the toss, but on playing quality cricket in all situations.
"We don’t want to play according to the toss. We are a quality side," Agha said. "If we bat first, we can win the game, and if we bowl first, we can win the game. It’s all about how we execute our plans, and today, our bowlers did an outstanding job."
Agha also praised the performance of the younger players in the team, highlighting their positive impact on the series. "The way the youngsters are performing is heartening and good to see," skipper added.
The standout performers with the ball were Sufiyan Muqeem and Abrar Ahmed, who both delivered exceptional spells. "We have plans, and they are executing them really well. The way Sufiyan and Abrar bowled today was outstanding," Agha stated, expressing his happiness with the team’s overall performance.
Agha noted that the victory was particularly significant as Pakistan had not won a T20I series recently, including their series in Australia. "We didn’t win the T20I series in Australia, and we wanted to win here," he said. "We are very happy with the result and want to continue this momentum in the upcoming series."
Pakistan sealed the T20I series with a crushing ten-wicket win over Zimbabwe, who were bowled out for just 57 in a dramatic collapse. Zimbabwe’s strong start quickly turned into disaster as they lost their last ten wickets for only 20 runs. Pakistan chased down the target with ease, finishing the match in 14.3 overs.
