West Indies white-ball skipper Kieron Pollard has been ruled out of the tour to Pakistan as he is yet to recover from the hamstring injury he sustained at the ICC T20 World Cup which concluded last month.

In his absence, Nicholas Pooran will be leading the West Indies side in the T20I series whereas Shai Hope has been given the skipper title for the ODI series.

Experienced candidate Devon Thomas has been included in place of Kieron Pollard for the ODI series whereas allrounder Rovman Powell will feature for West Indies in the scheduled T20I series against Pakistan.

Kieron Pollard is expected to undergo rehabilitation work in Trinidad, where it will be assessed whether the player will be available to regain fitness ahead of the series against Ireland and England or not.

West Indies will travel to Pakistan to play three T20Is and three ODIs, which are scheduled to be played at National Stadium Karachi from December 13 to December 22.
