The second Test offers Pakistan a chance to seal the series and maintain their dominance in home conditions
Pakistan has announced the playing XI for the second Test against West Indies, starting January 25 at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
Emerging fast bowler Kashif Ali is set to make his Test debut, replacing Khurram Shahzad in the lineup. Kashif earned his spot in the team after impressive performances in domestic cricket, including a five-wicket haul for Pakistan Shaheens against Sri Lanka in November.
Kashif will be the only pacer in the match, as Pakistan continues with their spin-heavy attack, which includes Sajid Khan, Noman Ali, and Abrar Ahmed.
This is the only change in the squad that secured a 127-run victory over West Indies in the first Test at the same venue.
The batting order will see Muhammad Huraira opening alongside captain Shan Masood, with Babar Azam following at number three. Kamran Ghulam, vice-captain Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan, and Salman Ali Agha will form the middle order.
In the first Test, Pakistan's spinners played a crucial role in their win. Sajid Khan and Noman Ali, who were instrumental in Pakistan's comeback against England last October, will once again lead the spin attack.
The second Test offers Pakistan a chance to seal the series and maintain their dominance in home conditions.
