All-rounder Jahandad Khan has replaced spinner Sufiyan Muqeem
Pakistan have announced their playing XI for the second T20I against South Africa, making just one change from the first match.
All-rounder Jahandad Khan has replaced spinner Sufiyan Muqeem, which could add depth to Pakistan's batting.
The playing XI includes: Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, Saim Ayub, Usman Khan, Tayyab Tahir, Irfan Khan, Jahandad Khan, Abbas Afridi, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Abrar Ahmed.
Pakistan are opting for just one spinner, Abrar Ahmed, due to the pace-friendly wickets in South Africa.
In the opening T20I, South Africa claimed an 11-run victory over Pakistan at Kingsmead, Durban. Despite a valiant effort from Saim Ayub and skipper Mohammad Rizwan, South Africa’s total of 183/9 proved too much. David Miller's blistering 82 off 40 balls was the highlight for the Proteas, along with George Linde's quickfire 48 off 24 balls. Shaheen Afridi (3-22) and Abrar Ahmed (3-37) were impressive with the ball, but Linde’s 4/21 helped South Africa restrict Pakistan’s chase. The match ended with Pakistan falling short at 172/8, as a brilliant slower ball from debutant Kwena Maphaka sealed the win.
Now, Pakistan will look to bounce back and level the series in the second T20I.
