The Bangladesh cricket team will visit Pakistan in May to play three ODIs and three T20 matches under the ICC's Future Tour Program. The Test matches between the two sides had already taken place last year in Rawalpindi.

After recent talks in Lahore between BCB Chief Faruque Ahmed and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, it has been agreed that the two teams will have an additional white-ball series in July and August 2025. Details of this series are still being finalized.

Faruque Ahmed stated that the schedule for this short series is currently being finalized. Bangladesh has also been invited to participate in a future tri-nation series in Pakistan.

Bangladesh has shifted its focus to preparations for the 2027 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, which will be co-hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia. In line with this, Bangladesh has confirmed the appointment of Phil Simmons as their permanent head coach.
