Pakistan's young all-rounder Hassan Khan showcased an exceptional performance, both with the bat and ball, to lead the San Francisco Unicorns to victory in the Eliminator round against the Texas Super Kings, securing their place in the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024 final.

After being asked to bat first, the Unicorns posted a formidable total of 200 runs for the loss of six wickets.

The highlight of their innings was Finn Allen's explosive knock of 101 runs off 53 deliveries, supported by Josh Inglis who contributed 37 runs from 25 balls. Hassan Khan played a crucial cameo, scoring 27 runs off 15 deliveries, which included four boundaries and one six.

In response, the Texas Super Kings put up a valiant fight but fell short, finishing at 190 runs for the loss of four wickets. Devon Conway remained unbeaten with a solid 62 runs, while skipper Faf du Plessis added 45 runs and Joshua Trump scored 56 runs.

Despite their efforts, the Super Kings lost the match by a narrow margin of 10 runs.

Haris Rauf struggled with the ball, going wicketless and conceding 43 runs in his four-over spell. Conversely, Hassan Khan shone with his bowling, taking the crucial wicket of Milind Kumar and giving away just 25 runs in his four overs.

With this victory, the San Francisco Unicorns will face Washington Freedom in the MLC 2024 final, scheduled for Sunday, July 28th, in Dallas.
