Haris Rauf dropped two places to 24th with 555 rating points
Pakistan pacers Haris Rauf and Mohammad Wasim Jr. have slipped in the latest ICC Men's ODI Rankings, announced on Wednesday.
Haris Rauf dropped two places to 24th with 555 rating points, while Mohammad Wasim Jr. fell six places to 71st with 423 rating points.
Spinner Abrar Ahmed also dropped one place to 57th, while fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, who was dropped from the squad for the ODI series following the Champions Trophy campaign, slipped one place to 12th.
Fast bowler Naseem Shah moved up five places to 43rd with 494 rating points.
Pakistan's captain Mohammad Rizwan saw a rise of two places in the ICC Men's ODI Batting Rankings after the conclusion of the series against New Zealand. Rizwan now holds the 21st spot in the rankings.
Fakhar Zaman, who was sidelined from the squad due to injury, dropped two places to 23rd, while Imam-ul-Haq retained his 34th spot in the latest update.
Saim Ayub also dropped two places, moving to 38th, while vice-captain Salman Ali Agha moved up one spot to 40th.
New Zealand's stand-in captain Michael Bracewell made the most significant progress in the rankings. Bracewell’s all-round performance in the third ODI against Pakistan played a pivotal role in New Zealand's 3-0 series victory on home soil. His 85 runs in the series, including a crucial half-century in the third ODI, and two wickets in the series helped him move up two spots in the ICC Men's ODI All-Rounder Rankings, placing him 5th.
Bracewell’s 59 runs off 40 balls, including six sixes and a four, in the final ODI helped New Zealand set a competitive total of 264/8. He followed up with a solid bowling performance, taking 1/39 from his eight overs. His all-round brilliance was crucial in New Zealand’s 43-run victory in the third ODI, completing their series sweep.
Bracewell’s excellent form also saw him jump 12 places in the ICC Men's Batting Rankings, where he is now ranked 89th, while retaining his 18th spot in the Bowling Rankings.
The standout performer with the ball in the series was Ben Sears, who was awarded Player of the Series after taking five wickets in the final match. Sears finished with 10 wickets in the series, which helped him make a significant leap of 64 places in the Bowling Rankings.
As for the ICC Men's ODI Batting Rankings, there were no major changes at the top. India’s Shubman Gill remains the No. 1 ranked batter, followed by Pakistan’s Babar Azam and Indian captain Rohit Sharma.
