In an ODI Tri-Nation Series match between Pakistan and South Africa, Pakistan made a strong start to their chase of 352 runs, reaching 138/3 after 21 overs. This marked the first time in 20 years that Pakistan scored more than 90 runs in the first 10 overs of an ODI match. Pakistan managed to score 91 runs with the loss of two wickets during the powerplay against South Africa.

The last time Pakistan achieved this feat was in 2005, when Shahid Afridi led the charge against India in Kanpur.

The opening partnership between Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam laid a solid foundation for the chase. Fakhar played an aggressive knock, scoring 41 runs off 28 balls, while Babar supported him with a steady 23 runs off 19 balls as they managed to score more than 90 runs in the first 10 overs, setting a promising tone for Pakistan's innings.

However, the momentum shifted as Pakistan lost wickets at regular intervals. Saud Shakeel, who joined the middle order, made a brief contribution, scoring 15 runs off 16 balls before being dismissed.

Currently, Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha are at the crease, with Pakistan needing 215 more runs to win in 29 overs. Despite the early setbacks, the match remains in Pakistan's reach as Rizwan and Agha look to build a partnership.

Earlier, South Africa posted a challenging total of 352/5 in their 50 overs, with some explosive batting performances throughout their innings. Now, Pakistan must continue to push forward, knowing they need to accelerate their scoring to stay in contention.

With wickets in hand, the game is still very much alive. Both teams will be looking to make their mark, as the winner will face New Zealand in the Tri-Nation Series final on Friday, February 14.
