Pakistan cricket is currently in a state of disarray following a series of disappointing performances. The team's recent first-round exit from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 was followed by a humiliating 2-0 whitewash in the home Test series against Bangladesh.

The poor showing has incited strong reactions from fans and former players alike, with former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif emerging as a vocal critic.

In a video that has gained significant traction on social media, the former wicketkeeper-batter did not hold back, stating, "Pakistan cricket is currently in the ICU. They will need a professional doctor."

The former wicketkeeper expressed frustration over the frequent changes within the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and emphasized the urgent need for professional expertise in both physical training and financial management.

"They need technically sound professionals to run things, both physically and financially. Trainers and many other things are required. You can see there are many problems, whether it's on the field or off the field," he said.

Looking ahead, Pakistan faces a formidable challenge as they prepare to take on England next month. The Three Lions had previously defeated Pakistan 3-0 in a Test series during their last visit in 2022. The upcoming three-match Test series is set to commence on October 7 in Multan.
