Pakistan cricketer Ahmed Shehzad has shared his views on how players should approach making a comeback to the national team. He believes that players should first focus on performing in domestic cricket before being considered for selection again.

In a recent statement, Shehzad explained his perspective on the issue, drawing from his own experiences of making comebacks.

He said, “I performed in domestic cricket and came back, and now, we're saying the same thing to your king and to the others: Come on, no problem. Good or bad, everyone plays. We accept that. But let's correct our mistakes—go play domestic cricket for two years, perform, and then return to the team. Simple criteria. Fair enough.”

Shehzad’s comments seem to be directed at encouraging players to focus on improving their skills at the domestic level, particularly after a below-par performance in the ICC Champions Trophy, which led to Pakistan’s early exit from the tournament.

He emphasized that a consistent performance in domestic cricket should be the key to earning a spot back in the national team.
