Pakistan cricketers upset due to lack of support from PCB

Pakistan cricketers have complained that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has thrown them under the bus. According to them, in these tough times, the support that was needed wasn't provided. 

Many senior cricketers feel that in difficult times, the PCB has left them to face all the criticism alone. They didn't receive the backing and defense they expected. 

While talking in this context, a player stated that after defeats, criticism is natural, but we are disappointed by the board's behavior, which didn't support us as it should have. False reports of fights among players surfaced initially, and when we raised our concerns through the manager, it was blown out of proportion with an unnecessary press release. We only wanted the right facts to come out. Everyone discusses their concerns honestly in meetings, and differences of opinion do arise, but there has never been a fight. 

The player further mentioned that just the captain does not make the entire team's decisions, as coaches and others are also involved, but the blame is often put solely on the captain. 

The said player termed the PCB's press release as 'ridiculous' as it stated that the team was selected by the captain and chief selector. The head of PCB's cricket committee, Misbah-ul-Haq, has also distanced himself from the decisions. It seems like if the team doesn't reach the semi-finals, the players will be held responsible. We are now being presented as if we fought with the board over contracts and didn't prepare for the World Cup despite being well-prepared when we came to India. Unfortunately, favorable results haven't been achieved so far.

On the other hand, foreign coaches are also not happy with the handling of affairs. According to reports, a few months ago, a rotation policy was introduced to give players rest, but when the management gave the directive to "win at all costs," the policy was abandoned, causing problems.

On the contrary, the PCB has denied the impression of not supporting the players and stated that they have always stood with the team and, therefore, released a press release to ask for support from former cricketers and fans.
