The PCB emphasized that disciplinary actions are an internal matter and it does not disclose such details to the public
Several players of the Pakistan cricket team have been fined for breaching the code of conduct during recent home and away series, with pacer Aamer Jamal receiving the heaviest penalty. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has stated that disciplinary matters are internal and not for public discussion.
According to sources, fines exceeding PKR 3 million were imposed on players for various violations from the home series against England to the away series against South Africa.
Aamer Jamal faced the largest fine of approximately PKR 1.3 million after wearing a cap with a political slogan during an interview in the England series.
Additionally, during the series in Australia, three players were fined PKR 500,000 each for returning late to the team hotel.
In South Africa, four players—Salman Ali Agha, Abdullah Shafique, Saim Ayub, and Abbas Afridi—were penalized for violating the team curfew.
The PCB emphasized that disciplinary actions are an internal matter and, like other cricket boards worldwide, it does not disclose such details to the public. The board believes making these issues public could damage players' reputations, and therefore, it refrains from commenting on them.
