Pakistan's cricket team captain, Mohammad Rizwan, expressed confidence in his team’s ability to perform well in upcoming matches, stating that they are not worried about potential setbacks or players getting out. He emphasized that the team’s focus is on winning the Champions Trophy.
Rizwan made these remarks while speaking at an event held at the National Bank Cricket Stadium, where workers who contributed to the stadium’s renovation were honored. He acknowledged the hard work of these workers, noting that their efforts proved Pakistan is a hardworking nation.
“We will work as hard as you did, and we are hopeful that in Karachi, we will deliver great results as always,” Rizwan added.
The event was organized by the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, who also praised the workers for their dedication. More than 700 workers were recognized for their contributions to the stadium's renovation, and a special meal was arranged in their honor.
In his speech, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi commended the workers for completing the stadium's renovation through tireless efforts and invited them to watch today’s match between Pakistan and South Africa.
It is worth mentioning that the Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, inaugurated the National Bank Stadium. He represented President Asif Ali Zardari at the opening ceremony.
The colorful inauguration ceremony was attended by Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori and Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, who, alongside PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, unveiled a plaque to mark the official opening of the stadium.
