Right-arm fast bowler Aamir Jamal has been released from Pakistan's Test squad ahead of the upcoming series against Bangladesh.

Aamir, who had initially been included in the squad pending a fitness clearance, has been advised to focus on his recovery at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.

The 27-year-old pacer is currently recovering from a back injury that he sustained while playing county cricket earlier this year.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided to give Aamir the necessary time to regain full fitness, prioritizing his long-term health over immediate participation.

The first Test match between Bangladesh and Pakistan will commence on August 21 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, with the second Test scheduled to take place at the same venue from August 30 to September 3.
