Hesson credited Farhan for successfully translating his domestic form into high-level PSL performances
Sahibzada Farhan has emerged as one of the most impressive performers in HBL Pakistan Super League season 10. The Islamabad United opener has turned heads with his consistency and aggressive approach at the top of the order.
Pakistan’s newly appointed head coach, Mike Hesson, who has closely followed Sahibzada Farhan’s development, shared his thoughts on the batter’s rise and the value he has brought to the team this season.
In an exclusive interview with Cricket Pakistan, Hesson credited Farhan for successfully translating his domestic form into high-level PSL performances—something many players struggle to do.
"He obviously arrived at the PSL with tremendous domestic form, and that's often hard to translate directly into the PSL, but from the very first game, he got a run-a-ball 20—looked a little rushed—but from that point on, he's been exceptional. The century he scored, the tempo he's played at, and the way he's given us strong starts all show that he's a high-quality player," Mike said.
Farhan’s performances have not only provided Islamabad United with strong starts in key matches, but have also earned him a national call-up for the T20I series against Bangladesh.
