Pakistan in need of consistent performers in fast bowling unit

Pakistan's fast bowlers have recently struggled to take wickets, especially in Test cricket. 

This has been attributed to various factors, including the lack of quality fast bowlers in the country, the unresponsive pitches in both domestic and international cricket, and the lack of proper coaching and support for fast bowlers at the grassroots level.

One issue that has been highlighted is the lack of pace and penetration in the Pakistan fast bowling attack. 

Many fast bowlers in the country rely on swing and seam movement rather than pace, which can be less effective on flatter pitches.

Pakistan has a rich history of producing world-class fast bowlers, but the current crop of fast bowlers has struggled to match the success of their predecessors. 

This has led to calls for more investment in fast bowling development and support for young fast bowlers in the country.

Reminder for all is that Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah were the last bowlers to take five wickets in Test cricket. The pacers achieved this feat against Zimbabwe at the Harare sports club back in 2021.
