The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has announced the complete schedule for the Men’s Asia Cup 2025, with Pakistan and India scheduled to meet on September 14 in a highly-anticipated group-stage clash.
The tournament will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and will follow the T20 format, serving as a key preparation event for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, which will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka in February.
A total of eight teams will participate in this edition of the Asia Cup, divided into two groups. Group A includes Pakistan, India, UAE, and Oman, while Group B features Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong.
The tournament will kick off on September 9 with Afghanistan taking on Hong Kong in the opening match.
Pakistan will begin their campaign on September 12 against Oman. They will then face arch-rivals India on September 14 in what promises to be a thrilling encounter. The Green Shirts will conclude their group-stage matches against hosts UAE on September 17.
Following the group stage, the top two teams from each group will progress to the Super Four round, starting September 20. If both Pakistan and India qualify, they could face each other again on September 21.
The final of the tournament is scheduled for September 28.
