Pakistan leads the pack in catch efficiency at the 2023 World Cup, boasting an impressive 86 percent success rate by securely grabbing 31 out of 37 chances. Their fielding prowess sets them apart as the most reliable catching team in the tournament. The team has let slip only six catches throughout the event, making them the standout performers in this aspect.

Within those six drops for Pakistan, there were a couple of costly misses. Imam-ul-Haq's lapse allowed Sri Lanka's Kusal Mendis to escape on 18, and Mendis went on to score a formidable 123. Another significant incident occurred when Usama Mir missed an easy catch of David Warner at 10, who then proceeded to amass an additional 150 runs against Australia.

Comparatively, the Netherlands and India share the same number of dropped catches at six each, with the former facing 33 opportunities and the latter encountering 25.

India, England, and South Africa are tied with a catch efficiency of 81 percent, closely followed by Bangladesh at 76 percent. On the other end of the spectrum, Australia, Afghanistan, and New Zealand find themselves at the lower rungs of the table with a catch efficiency of 71 percent.
