Pakistan penalised in Asia Cup match against India

The outcome of the game might have been impacted had Pakistan not been penalised

Pakistan met India in their opening game of the Asia Cup 2022 and suffered a loss of 5 wickets after a heroic all-around display from Hardik Pandya, who was named player of the match.

The Men in Green failed to keep up with the over rate and had to bowl the last three with five fielders inside the circle.

According to ESPNCricinfo, Pakistan followed in the footsteps of India who were also short three overs during their Asia Cup 2022 clash at Dubai International Stadium.

“Just like India, Pakistan are three overs short, and will bowl the last three with five fielders inside the circle,” the report said.

However, it is worth adding that India had only lost four wickets which is why they were able to capitalise on Pakistan's mistake.
