Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has confirmed that preparations for the Champions Trophy are complete.

In Lahore, Naqvi met with Punjab’s Minister of Sports, Faisal Khokhar, to discuss cricket tournaments and arrangements for the upcoming Champions Trophy.  

During the meeting, Faisal Khokhar congratulated Naqvi on the record-time renovation of Gaddafi Stadium. In response, Naqvi assured Punjab’s government of PCB’s full support in promoting sports at all levels.  

Faisal Khokhar emphasized that with PCB’s collaboration, they aim to develop cricket at every level.  

The highly anticipated tournament, hosted by Pakistan, is set to begin on February 19 at Karachi’s National Stadium, where Pakistan will take on New Zealand in the opening match.  

The tournament will feature eight teams: Pakistan, India, Australia, England, South Africa, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and New Zealand.
