Pakistan set embarrassing record in Australia

Pakistan have made an embarrassing record of losing the most number of consecutive Tests in a country after their innings defeat at the hands of Australia in the second and last Test of the two-match series at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide.

The Men in Green have now lost 14 consecutive Test matches in Australia, a drought that started in 1999. The record was previously held by Bangladesh who lost 13 consecutive Test matches at home from 2001 to 2003.

The unwanted record was broken after a dismal performance by Pakistan in the two-match Test series where the Men in Green lost both games by an innings defeat.

The first match between the sides was played at the Gabba in Brisbane where Pakistan succumbed to a defeat by an innings and five runs.

The second and last match of the series was dominated by top-order batsmen David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne, who made an unbeaten 335 and 162 respectively. Pakistan could not match the first innings score of Australia after two attempts, which resulted in an eventual defeat by an innings and 48 runs.

Pakistan have won only four of the 37 Tests they've played in Australia, with the home side winning on 26 occasions.
