Pakistan Shaheens clinched a three-wicket victory against Bangladesh 'A' in the Top End T20 series on Friday, marking their fourth win in the tournament.
Previously, they had defeated Perth Scorchers by 17 runs, Tasmania Tigers by 5 wickets, and Melbourne Renegades by 4 wickets, though they suffered a 47-run loss against Melbourne Stars.
Bangladesh 'A' were asked to bat first and posted 141/5 in their 20 overs. Pakistan Shaheens chased down the target in 18.4 overs, despite losing 7 wickets along the way.
The match began with Abbas Afridi dismissing Jishan Alam on the first ball. Tanzid Hasan and Parvez Hossain then put together a 48-run partnership for the second wicket, but wickets began to tumble regularly after that.
Parvez Hossain scored 27, while Tanzid contributed 18. Left-arm spinner Faisal Akram was the standout bowler, taking 3 wickets for just 10 runs in a brilliant spell.
Later in the innings, Shamim Hossain (44*) and Mahfuzur Rahman (41*) formed a crucial 83-run partnership for the sixth wicket.
In their chase, Pakistan Shaheens got off to a strong start, thanks to a 47-run opening stand between Sahibzada Farhan and Mohammad Haris.
Haris played an aggressive knock of 32, hitting 3 sixes and 2 fours, but was eventually run out. Sahibzada Farhan also fell after scoring 17.
Omair Bin Yousuf kept the innings going with a crucial 37, but with the team at 123/7, the match hung in the balance.
However, a composed 20-run partnership for the eighth wicket between Irfan Khan and Jahandad Khan guided Pakistan Shaheens to victory. Jahandad remained unbeaten on 11, while Irfan was not out on 9.
Pakistan Shaheens' next challenge will be against ACT Comets on Saturday.
