The third One-Day International (ODI) between Pakistan Shaheens and Bangladesh 'A' has been called off due to persistent rain and a wet outfield on Friday in Islamabad.

With this outcome, Pakistan Shaheens have won the three-match ODI series 1-0. They clinched the first 50-over match with an impressive eight-wicket victory.

In the opening ODI, Pakistan Shaheens demonstrated their dominance, spearheaded by a stellar bowling performance from Abbas Afridi. Afridi took five wickets for just 38 runs, a career-best in List A cricket. Bangladesh A struggled to gain momentum and were eventually bowled out for 183 runs in 36 overs. Afridi’s five-wicket haul stood out as a highlight of his career.

Shaheens captain Mohammad Haris won the toss and opted to field, a decision that proved advantageous as Bangladesh A's batting lineup faltered under a disciplined bowling attack. Saif Hassan was the top scorer for Bangladesh A with a brisk 58 runs, while Rishad Hossain contributed 40 runs.

In response, Pakistan Shaheens comfortably chased down the target of 184 in just 27.5 overs, losing only two wickets. Usman Khan led the charge with an aggressive 87 off 60 balls, including eight fours and five sixes. Haseebullah provided strong support, remaining unbeaten on 73 and guiding Pakistan Shaheens to victory.
