Pakistan squad has touched down in Galle for the first Test of the two-match series against Sri Lanka.

The side travelled from Colombo earlier today. The side trained and played a three-day practice game against Sri Lanka XI in the capital city of the Island nation.

There have been reports that the series is in danger after Sri Lanka's Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe declared a 'state of emergency' following President Gotabaya Rajapaksa's exit from the country.

But the series will go ahead as planned while the cricket board is in constant touch with Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) and they are also discussing the situation with Pakistan High Commissioner in Sri Lanka.

It must be noted that the first Test will start from July 16. The second Test will commence from July 24.

Schedule

16-20 July - First Test; GICS, Galle

24-28 July - Second Test; RPICS, Colombo
