Eight players will join the Test squad after the four-day match between Shaheens and Bangladesh A concludes on August 16
The Pakistan Test squad engaged in a rigorous two-hour fielding practice session at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Sunday to gear up for their upcoming series against Bangladesh.
Under the guidance of head coach Jason Gillespie, the team worked intensively to refine their fielding techniques.
Key players including Test captain Shan Masood, along with Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi, took part in the drills. Other squad members like Abrar Ahmed, Abdullah Shafiq, Salman Ali Agha, Khurram Shahzad, and Aamer Jamal also joined the training.
Whereas, eight players from the Test squad were not part of the aforementioned training as they will be competing in the first four-day match against Bangladesh A as part of the Pakistan Shaheens on Tuesday.
Saud Shakeel will captain the Shaheens, which includes Kamran Ghulam, Mir Hamza, Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Huraira, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, and Sarfraz Ahmed. These players will join the Test squad after the four-day match concludes on August 16.
The Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh will commence on August 21 in Rawalpindi, with the first Test running until August 25. The second Test is scheduled to take place in Karachi from August 30 to September 3.
