The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will hold a media conference at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Thursday to announce the Pakistan squads for the upcoming Ireland and England T20I series.

The PCB chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, stated in a press briefing on Tuesday that the squad for the England and Ireland T20I series would be revealed on Wednesday. However, due to an event near the Gaddafi Stadium, the announcement is postponed by a day.

Pakistan selection committee will disclose the squads during a press conference scheduled for 11:15 am (Pakistan Standard Time).

Pakistan team will travel to Europe to take on Ireland and current T20 World Champions England in the month of May , with their departure for Ireland scheduled on May 7th.

Meanwhile, PCB chief also addressed concerns about the Champions Trophy 2025, assuring that all eight teams, including India, will travel to Pakistan for the tournament, dismissing any notion of a hybrid model.

“We have sent the schedule [of the Champions Trophy] to the ICC, all eight teams will come. There is no reason as to why India would refuse to come,” Naqvi said.

“If they [India] are doing propaganda, why aren’t you doing as well?” Naqvi inquired the media.

“We are not thinking of a hybrid model, there is no talk of the sort,” he added.
