The National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore is set to host a comprehensive Skills and Fitness camp for twenty-five women cricketers from 8 to 24 August.

This initiative, organized by the women’s national selection committee, aims to prepare the players for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup scheduled to take place in Bangladesh from 3 to 20 October.

The selected players will arrive at the NCA on 7 August, beginning a rigorous 17-day training regimen. The initial phase of the camp, from 8 to 18 August, will focus on fitness sessions, including players’ medical screening, fitness drills, and fielding exercises.

The latter phase, from 19 August until the camp concludes, will emphasize skills sessions with net practices under the guidance of the national coaching staff.

The group of 25 players includes a balanced mix of nine batters, eight bowlers, six all-rounders, and two wicket-keepers, ensuring a comprehensive training experience across all facets of the game.

Batters – Ayesha Zafar, Dua Majid, Eyman Fatima, Gull Feroza, Iram Javed, Omaima Sohail, Sadaf Shamas, Sidra Amin and Yusra Amir

Fast Bowlers – Diana Baig, Neha Sharmin Nadeem, Tasmia Rubab, Waheeda Akhtar and Zaib-un-Nisa Niaz

Spinners – Nashra Sundhu, Sadia Iqbal and Umm-e-Hani

Wicket-keepers – Muneeba Ali and Najiha Alvi
