The Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team is gearing up for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup with high hopes of delivering a strong performance.

All-rounder Nida Dar, speaking to a local news channel emphasized the importance of maintaining composure in such a major event.

“T20 World Cup is a significant tournament, and we need to keep our nerves under control,” Nida stated.

“We have faced teams like Sri Lanka and India multiple times and have even defeated New Zealand before. These experiences give us the confidence to perform well against them in this World Cup," she further added.

She further highlighted the team’s high morale following their recent series against South Africa.

“The players are motivated and confident. The series against South Africa was a great learning experience and helped us with match practice. Everyone is particularly excited about the game against India. It’s always a high-pressure match, and a great opportunity to become a hero. We will do our best to win, especially since the conditions in Dubai and Sharjah suit us," Nida said.

Opener Sidra Ameen also shared her thoughts, stating that there is always pressure in big events, regardless of the opposition.

“Our aim is to stay calm and deliver our best performance. The weather in Dubai and Sharjah is quite warm, but we are used to it,” she said.

Reflecting on the team's preparation, Sidra added, “The series against South Africa went well overall, and we learned a lot. We had a close contest against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup, and we’re hopeful of a better result this time.”
