In a thrilling encounter in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024, Pakistan's dynamic bowling duo, Mohammad Nawaz and Mohammad Wasim Jr, showcased their prowess, which led Khulna Tigers to a resounding victory against Durdanto Dhaka.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, Dhaka made an impressive start, reaching 75 runs in the ninth over. However, the tide turned dramatically as wickets tumbled swiftly, restricting Dhaka to a modest 130 runs with the loss of nine wickets. Saim Ayub's knock of 35 runs off 37 balls, featuring one boundary and three sixes, at a strike rate of 94.59.

Mohammad Nawaz, representing Khulna Tigers, emerged as the star with the ball, claiming three crucial wickets, including those of Irfan Sukkur, Mosaddek Hossain, and Taskin Ahmed. His four-over spell was exemplary, conceding only 15 runs at an impressive economy of 3.75. Additionally, Mohammad Wasim Jr added to the brilliance by dismissing Alex Ross and Usman Qadir, giving away just 13 runs in his four overs at an economy of 3.25.

During the chase, Khulna Tigers comfortably reached the target without losing a wicket before the 15th over. Skipper Anamul Haque played a pivotal role with a match-winning innings of 58 runs off 48 balls, steering his team to victory. Afif Hossain contributed significantly with a quickfire 37 off 27 balls. Opening batsman Ewin Lewis retired hurt after a promising start with 26 runs.
