The cricket fraternity witnessed one of the best games between the two arch-rivals, Pakistan and India, at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

The largest stadium in Australia, and the world’s second-largest cricket stadium,  can accommodate approximately 1,00,00 people (including the standing room).

The fans turned out in large numbers and set a new record for the biggest cricket attendance at the venue for two competing countries, excluding Australia.

As per the official figure, 90,293 fans watched the game at The 'G. This figure stands third on the list for a cricket match.

The record cricket attendance at the MCG is 93,013; at the 2015 World Cup final between Australia and New Zealand
