David Boon from Australia, a member of the ICC elite panel of match referees, will lead the officiating team
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the match officials for the upcoming tri-series ODI matches featuring Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa. The series will take place in Lahore and Karachi from February 8 to 14.
David Boon from Australia, a member of the ICC elite panel of match referees, will lead the officiating team. England’s Michael Gough, an ICC elite panel umpire, and Pakistan’s Faisal Khan Afridi, from the ICC international panel, will serve as on-field umpires for the opening match. Richard Illingworth, also an elite panel umpire, will be the third umpire, while Rashid Riaz will take the role of fourth umpire.
The tri-series will begin in Lahore, where Pakistan will face New Zealand in the first match on February 8. After this, the Pakistan team will travel to Karachi for their next match. Meanwhile, South Africa and New Zealand will also face off before heading to Karachi for the remaining games.
The final match of the series will be held at the newly renovated National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi on February 14. Ahsan Raza and Richard Illingworth will officiate as on-field umpires for the final, with Michael Gough as the third umpire. Asif Yaqoob will serve as the fourth umpire for the title clash.
