The PSL draft, originally set to take place in the scenic port city of Gwadar, Balochistan, on Saturday, January 11, 2025, will now be held in Lahore on January 13.
The highly anticipated player draft for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10 has been rescheduled, with changes to both the date and venue. Originally set to take place in the scenic port city of Gwadar, Balochistan, on Saturday, January 11, 2025, the draft will now be held in Lahore on January 13.
Sources confirmed that the decision to move the venue and delay the event was due to logistical challenges that made hosting the draft in Gwadar unfeasible.
Ahead of the players' draft, the six PSL franchises announced their player retentions on January 4. Each franchise was allowed to retain up to eight players from their previous squad. While most teams made full use of their retention slots, Karachi Kings, Multan Sultans, and Peshawar Zalmi opted to retain seven players each.
