PCB announce squads and mentors for National Women’s One-Day Tournament in Karachi

The National Women’s One-Day Tournament for the 2024-25 season is all set to begin in Karachi from 8 November, featuring five competitive teams: Challengers, Conquerors, Invincibles, Stars, and Strikers. The tournament will follow a double-league format, giving each team the chance to play eight matches. The top two teams will clash in the final scheduled for 30 November.

The prize pool for the 21-match event is set at PKR 3.3 million, with the champions taking home PKR 1.5 million, while the runners-up will win PKR 1 million. Games will start at 9:30 am, with the toss at 9:00 am, taking place at the HPC Oval Ground and UBL Sports Complex.

The tournament also welcomes back well-known mentors who had previously participated in the Bahria Town Champions One-Day Tournament 2024. Cricket stars Waqar Younis, Misbah ul Haq, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shoaib Malik, and Saqlain Mushtaq will guide the teams, with each bringing valuable experience to inspire the players.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has named the 16-player squads for each team. Aliya Riaz will captain the Challengers, with Fatima Sana leading the Conquerors. The Invincibles will be headed by Muneeba Ali, while Sidra Amin and former national captain Nida Dar will lead Stars and Strikers, respectively.
