PCB announces schedule for Champions One-Day Cup

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the schedule for the upcoming Champions One-Day Cup, a premier 50-over tournament that will showcase the country’s top 150 cricketers. 

The tournament is scheduled to be held at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad from September 12 to 29, 2024, featuring five competing teams: Dolphins, Lions, Panthers, Stallions, and Wolves.

The opening match of the tournament will see the Wolves face off against the Panthers, kicking off what promises to be an exciting competition. The tournament will follow a single-league format, with each match starting at 3:00 PM local time, except for one fixture. 

On September 16, the Lions and Panthers will clash in a morning match that starts at 9:30 AM to accommodate the live broadcast of the Pakistan women's team taking on South Africa in a T20I.

The PCB also announced that the tournament will feature five champion mentors, with team names and the 15-player squads expected to be revealed in the coming days.

Three playoffs will be held over four days, culminating in the final on Sunday, September 29, 2024.
