Shaheen Shah Afridi has been named the captain of the side
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the Team of the Tournament for HBL PSL 10, with Lahore Qalandars’ Shaheen Shah Afridi named as captain.
The side was selected by members of the tournament's commentary panel and features standout performers from this year’s PSL, which ran from 11 April to 25 May across Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi. In the final, Lahore Qalandars defeated Quetta Gladiators by six wickets at Gaddafi Stadium to claim their third title in four years.
Shaheen led from the front, finishing as the tournament’s highest wicket-taker with 19 wickets in 13 matches. He earned the Fazal Mahmood Cap and captains a team that includes two of his teammates — Sikandar Raza (254 runs, 10 wickets in 11 matches) and Fakhar Zaman (439 runs, 4 fifties in 13 matches).
Quetta Gladiators are also well represented with Hasan Nawaz (399 runs, 1 hundred, 3 fifties), Faheem Ashraf (163 runs, 17 wickets), and Abrar Ahmed (17 wickets) all making the XI.
Karachi Kings have three players in the team — David Warner (368 runs), James Vince (378 runs), and Hasan Ali (17 wickets). Khushdil Shah (253 runs, 7 wickets) has been named the 12th man.
Islamabad United’s only representative is Sahibzada Farhan, who topped the run charts with 449 runs in 12 games and was awarded the Hanif Mohammad Cap. He also serves as the team's wicketkeeper.
Young fast bowler Ali Raza from Peshawar Zalmi completes the team after impressing with 12 wickets in nine matches.
