The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that Sumair Ahmad Syed, the Chief Operating Officer of PCB, has been appointed as the Tournament Director for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This prestigious event is scheduled to take place in Pakistan.  

PCB chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, expressed confidence in Sumair’s abilities, calling him an “exceptionally organised professional” with significant experience in administration and a strong passion for cricket. He believes that under Sumair’s leadership, the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be an unforgettable experience for players, officials, and fans alike. Naqvi also highlighted that the event will showcase Pakistan’s capacity to host world-class cricket and will offer visitors a chance to experience the country’s renowned hospitality and passion for the sport.
