The Board of Governors approved these appointments during the meeting held at the National Cricket Academy
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Governing Board meeting, chaired by PCB Chairman Mohsin Raza Naqvi, concluded with several significant decisions regarding new appointments and operational plans.
According to sources, bureaucrat Sumair Ahmed Syed has been appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of PCB, replacing Salman Naseer, who has been designated as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The Board of Governors approved these appointments during the meeting held at the National Cricket Academy, where PCB officials, including members Sajjad Khokhar, Tanveer Panahzai, Tariq Sarwar, former Test cricketer Zaheer Abbas, and other board members, participated. A few members attended the meeting virtually, sources reported.
In addition to discussing appointments, the board also expressed satisfaction with the recent performance of the Pakistan cricket team. The meeting included consultations on future strategies, ICC Champions Trophy preparations, and plans for stadium upgrades. Board members were briefed on key issues and updated on ongoing projects, reflecting PCB’s commitment to the development and success of Pakistan cricket.
