PCB benefitting from government's digitalisation policy

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has benefited greatly from the government’s digitalisation policy and now office files and documents can be retained through a click of a button.

After an important contract between the PCB and the Punjab Information and Technology Board (PITB), the board has gotten rid of the tedious filing system that had been in place for a very long time.

The PCB has started using state-of-the-art filing and office automation systems through the help of the PITB to ensure faster and more efficient continuation and completion of day-to-day affairs.

PITB’s Chairman Azfar Manzoor claimed that the digitalisation of the PCB’s system would pave the way for faster processing and efficiency.

“Our software has made the office work for the PCB very easy. Now officials can get crucial updates, forward instructions and make decisions all through their laptops and phones. This software saves time and expenditure along with ensuring efficiency and faster processing time. Officials can also keep track of delays in various office works. Cricket is a sport that attracts everyone in the country. Victory unites the entire nation while losing causes national sadness. We are ready to help the PCB in the future as well,” Manzoor said.

“We are also ready to work with various other sporting bodies. We will have to modernise in all fields if we aim to compete globally. PITB’s main focus is to bring ease into the lives of the people. Many government departments are currently benefiting from our software. We are trying to digitalise all departments very soon,” he added.
