Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi visited Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday to oversee progress on the ongoing construction ahead of the upcoming Champions Trophy, slated to be hosted by Pakistan next year in February-March.

Accompanied by the director of international cricket and the general manager of infrastructure, Naqvi encouraged workers to maintain a round-the-clock work schedule to ensure timely completion of the ambitious project.

Stressing the importance of continuous effort, Naqvi emphasized the necessity for 24/7 work to meet the deadline.

During the inspection, Naqvi also addressed key concerns, particularly focusing on drainage installation to prevent water accumulation due to pipe bursts beneath the stadium's main structure.

Furthermore, he directed the utilization of additional resources to expedite the stadium's upgrades, aiming for completion before the commencement of the 2025 Champions Trophy.
