The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced important changes in the team management ahead of the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, which will begin on July 20 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.

Shane McDermott has been appointed as the new fielding coach, replacing Mohammad Masroor, who stepped down after the conclusion of the Skills Development Camp on July 4.

Masroor confirmed his departure through a heartfelt message on social media, thanking the players, team staff, and fans for their support during his time with the team.

“Though my chapter with the team ends here, I’ll always be a part of Pakistan cricket’s story,” Masroor wrote.

“I leave with no regrets, only pride and best wishes for what lies ahead,” he further wrote.

McDermott brings international coaching experience, having previously worked with Australia, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.

In another change, the PCB has also brought back Grant Luden as the strength and conditioning coach, replacing Imran Ullah.

Meanwhile, the PCB has already announced a 15-member squad for the series. Salman Ali Agha will continue to lead the team as captain. Vice-captain Shadab Khan and fast bowler Haris Rauf are unavailable due to injuries.

Among the new faces, Salman Mirza, a young fast bowler who impressed in PSL Season 10 while playing for Lahore Qalandars, has been selected for the national squad for the first time.

The Pakistan team will arrive in Bangladesh on July 16. The T20I series will be played on July 20, 22, and 24 at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka.

Earlier this year, Pakistan hosted Bangladesh for a T20I series at home, where the home side won 3-0.
