The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has delayed issuing a no-objection certificate (NOC) for captain Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Mohammad Rizwan to participate in Canada's Global T20, as reported by local media.

The players had sought permission from the PCB to join the league, but the board is currently in discussions with the International Cricket Council (ICC) regarding the league's affiliation. A decision on the NOC will be made once the ICC provides clarification.

Seven Pakistani cricketers, including Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, Asif Ali, Mohammad Amir, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Mohammad Nawaz, have been chosen by various teams for the Global T20 Canada.

Babar, Asif Ali, Amir, and Rizwan will play for the Vancouver Knights, whereas Shaheen and Nawaz will be part of the Toronto Nationals. Iftikhar Ahmed will join the Bangla Tigers Mississauga.
