The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially granted No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to four Pakistani cricketers, allowing them to participate in the upcoming Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024.
Among the players receiving NOCs are wicketkeeper-batter Azam Khan and explosive opener Fakhar Zaman. The CPL is set to begin on August 30, 2024.
Azam Khan will be representing the Guyana Amazon Warriors, while Fakhar Zaman will join the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons.
Fast bowler Mohammad Amir and all-rounder Imad Wasim have also been cleared to participate in the CPL, with both also set to play for the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons.
However, young opener Saim Ayub has not been granted a NOC due to his involvement with Pakistan's Test squad for the ongoing two-match series against Bangladesh.
Last month, the PCB denied NOCs to star players Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Afridi for the Global T20 League Canada, citing the need for rest ahead of Pakistan's busy schedule leading up to the Champions Trophy 2025, which Pakistan will host.
