In an attempt to reduce the extent of dew on the outfield, the PCB has imported a chemical spray from Dubai.
The spray has already made a noticeable difference as it has been used by the PCB since the Lahore-leg started in the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022.
According to the details, the spray is used three hours prior to the game which eventually helps control the dew factor.
"A specific amount of the spray is mixed with 100 liters of water and then sprinkled on the outfield which absorbs a large chunk of the dew," a source told.
It is worth mentioning because historically speaking, the toss has played a massive role in the outcome of PSL matches.
This latest development has made toss a lot less decisive factor, which is evident from the recent results where teams have performed well while bowling second.
Last night, both captains - Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Rizwan - claimed that they don't value the outcome of the like they used to and bowling first is not as big of a factor as it used to be.
