Corbin Bosch is reportedly considering giving up his PSL contract in order to join the Mumbai Indians squad for the upcoming IPL
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued a legal notice to South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch for breaching his Pakistan Super League (PSL) contract. Bosch was selected by Peshawar Zalmi in the Diamond category during the PSL 2025 draft in January, and the franchise had high expectations for him to play a key role in the tournament.
However, Bosch is reportedly considering giving up his PSL contract in order to join the Mumbai Indians squad for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL). The 30-year-old all-rounder is expected to replace the injured Lizaad Williams in the Mumbai Indians' squad for the IPL, which is scheduled to run from March 22 to May 25.
In a statement, the PCB confirmed that it had served the legal notice to Bosch, accusing him of failing to fulfill his contractual obligations.
"South Africa's Corbin Bosch has been served a legal notice by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) alleging breach of the all-rounder’s contractual obligations to the PCB," the statement said.
The PCB further clarified that Bosch was picked by Peshawar Zalmi in the Diamond category during the tenth edition of the HBL PSL Player Draft, held on January 13 in Lahore. The notice was sent through Bosch's agent, and the player has been asked to explain why he is withdrawing from his professional commitments. The PCB also outlined the potential consequences of his departure from the league and has requested a response from Bosch within a specified time frame.
Bosch has not yet made his IPL debut but was previously associated with Rajasthan Royals as a reserve player. He is familiar with the Mumbai Indians setup, having played a key role in MI Cape Town's title-winning campaign in the SA20 league, where he took 11 wickets in seven innings at an economy rate of 8.68. If Bosch joins Mumbai Indians, he would reunite with his SA20 teammate Ryan Rickelton and strengthen the franchise's seam-bowling all-rounder options alongside captain Hardik Pandya and Raj Bawa.
The PCB has stated that it will not comment further on the matter until Bosch responds to the legal notice.
