PCB makes minor adjustment in Champions One-Day Cup schedule

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has updated the schedule for the ongoing Champions One-Day Cup at Iqbal Stadium. The match between Dolphins and Markhors, originally set for 17 September, has been rescheduled to 18 September to observe the Rabi-ul-Awal public holiday.

The PCB has assured fans that tickets purchased for the 17 September match will be valid for the rescheduled game on 18 September, with no need for exchange. The rescheduled match will be a day game, with the toss scheduled for 9:00 AM and the first ball to be bowled at 9:30 AM.

“The fans who have bought tickets for the 17 September match can use the same tickets for the 18 September fixture (no exchange of ticket required), which will now be a day game with the toss taking place at 9am and the first ball expected to be bowled at 9.30am,” the PCB stated.

The tournament, which began on 12 September, kicked off with Mohammad Rizwan-led Markhors (formerly Wolves) facing off against Shadab Khan-led Panthers. The final of the Champions One-Day Cup is set for 29 September.

Featuring the nation’s top cricketers, the 50-over tournament follows a single-league format. The five participating teams are mentored by notable figures: Misbah-ul-Haq (Markhors), Saqlain Mushtaq (Panthers), Sarfaraz Ahmed (Dolphins), Shoaib Malik (Stallions), and Waqar Younis (Lions).

The Champions One-Day Cup winners will receive PKR 30 million, while the runners-up will take home PKR 15 million.

• 15 September – Markhors vs Stallions (d/n) 3pm
• 16 September – Lions vs Panthers (d) 9.30am
• 18 September – Dolphins vs Lions (d) 9.30am
• 19 September – Stallions vs Dolphins (d/n) 3pm
• 20 September – Lions vs Markhors (d/n) 3pm
• 21 September – Panthers vs Stallions (d/n) 3pm
• 22 September – Dolphins vs Lions (d/n) 3pm
