Under the new financial model, franchises have to pay half of the fee two months before each PSL
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reminded HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises to pay the annual fee for the second time.
Under the new financial model, franchises have to pay half of the fee two months before each PSL. In this regard, PCB sent a letter last month asking them to pay by the 27th of November but no one has paid the fee.
On the other hand, franchise owners have asked PCB to clear the dues of previous editions.
In this regard, the sources said that the calculated amounts of the fifth and sixth editions of the league have not been finalized yet. The PCB is waiting for some of its payments. The franchise owners are of the view that this issue should be resolved first, after which the PCB itself will have to pay the franchises.
The sources further said that the financial disputes of the PCB with some of the partners have almost been resolved, after which the accounts will also be finalized.
Meanwhile, the team owners are not happy with the attitude of some board officials.
There were reports of adding two more players in each team via mini draft and the credit for this move was given to PCB.
This gave the impression that the authorities were interfering in the affairs of the franchises, so everyone strongly rejected it on their social media platforms.
The PCB later informed about the new draft through a media release.
